Terms of Service

The Terms of Service below can be changed at any time. A major change to these Terms of Service will be announced but it is the responsibility of the player to be aware of and comply to these Terms of Service at all times. Failure to be in compliance with these Terms of Service may result in the immediate deletion of your account.

In addition to these Terms of Service, there is a page of Game Rules and Punishments. Anything stated in the Game Rules is in Addition to the Terms of Service and does not cancel anything in the Terms of Service. By agreeing to the Terms of Service, you agree to the Game Rules and by agreeing to the Game Rules, you agree to the Terms of Service.

Further, there are Terms of Use that govern the use of this service. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you agree to the Terms of Use; and by agreeing to the Terms of Use, you agree to the Terms of Service.

1. Censorship/Decency

1.1 Urban is not censored. However, abusing players or staff is considered poor etiquette. If you verbally abuse players past a point of reasonable game play, you will be banned from the forum and/or the chat box. If you abuse staff while they are acting as staff, that warrants staff harassment as defined by the Game Rules, and such punishment will be taken in accordance with the rules.

2. Gangs

2.1 Gangs remain legal property of the game, and are leased to players by the game. While owning a gang, you can choose it's name, content etc. as long as it doesn't break any game rules or these terms.

2.2 Management reserves the right to modify any part of any gang including the name, content, members, staff etc. without any reason and without the permission of the gang owners. These changes do not need to consider the separate sub laws a gang may have. Management also reserves the right to remove any gang without notice.

2.3 The censorship and decency maintained internally in the gangs is a choice by the gang administration. What is and what is not acceptable in this situation is up to the gang administration provided that it does not break any game rules or these terms.

3. Game Rules

3.1 Players agree to abide by all game rules and understand that any violation will result in a given punishment.

4. Accounts

4.1 This game is not intended for persons under 14 years of age. Some content contained within the game may not be suitable for young children. By signing up for an account at Urban, you agree that you are over 14 years of age. Any player found less than 14 years of age will have their account deleted by staff.

4.2 As far as the definition of a multiple account, or multi, goes, Urban Administration defines it as the following: A main account with the existence of one or more accounts with the primary purpose of aiding the main account.

This definition includes: A single player making several accounts to aid one central account; a single player buying an account(s) to assist a central account; a single player getting friends to join solely to aid their central account, etc. It also includes groups of players working together to solely aid each others accounts.

Please note, the definition is not limited to what is listed above. Management reserves the right to interpret player activities as needed, and take any and all appropriate action.

4.3 You are responsible for any and all actions taken by your account. Any and all rule violations, any and all violations of these Terms or any and all other activity is your responsibility.

4.4 Every player must respect every other player and individual in society. You must not discriminate against someone because of his or her age, gender, skin color, sexual preference, religion or personal beliefs. Any player found to be actively discriminating against another player or member of society in any way, will have their accounts terminated and further action may be taken. This includes, without limitation, character name, message board posts and chat rooms.

4.5 With regards to account restoration, Management reserves the right to restore an account deleted because of inactivity (Pending the notice below.), request or abnornal game operation from December 21st, 2007 onwards or pre requested by a player any time in the game. This action can be done only once in a players lifetime starting from December 21st, 2007.

There are under no circumstances, and at no time, any exceptions to this policy, and any attempts to subvert this process may result in immediate account deletion.

4.6 Management also reserves the right to choose not to restore a player for past illegal actions causing deletion. Players can request restoration if they so desire if it falls under these conditions, although the final decision to restore is Management's and the player has no given right to a restoration.

4.7 Upon restoration, a significant part of a players account including cars, territories and weapons and armor may be lost and this will not be restored or edited in any way. However, the main core of a players account being their stats, wins, losses and tokens should remain intact.

4.8 If Management deems an account should not be restored because of previous game actions or any other criteria deemed relevant then the request for a restoration will be denied.

4.9 Please note, if an account was deleted for in-activity on behalf of the "sweeper bot", a game process designed to delete inactive users who have not logged on per a certian date, can not be restored by the game staff, and are considered dead accounts.

4.10 Management reserves the right to modify any part of any account on the game for no reason and without the account owners permission.

4.11 Management reserves the right to jail or delete any account from the game at any time for no reason and without the account owners permission.

5. Connectivity

5.1 Random Ramble does not guarantee connectivity.

6. Unauthorized Access

6.1 Any individual who attempts to hack, gain unauthorized entry, reverse engineer or affect the system integrity of Urban-RPG (including attempting to access any internal part of the game from an off site location) will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.

7. Terminating your Account

7.1 For the reasons of fair game play and system efficiency, you cannot manually terminate your account. Your account will automatically be terminated after 60 days of inactivity. If you no longer wish to have an account with Urban-RPG, do not log into your account for 60 days, and it will be removed from our systems.

7.2 Management reserves the right to delete accounts per user request on a situational basis.

8. Player Generated Content

8.1 Random Ramble encourages and allows users to post and/or exchange opinions, information, and ideas. These may appear in shops, gang descriptions, message boards or chat. Please be advised that these player generated opinions, information and ideas do not necessarily reflect the views of Random Ramble.

8.2 While we occasionally do monitor player generated content, in no event does Random Ramble assume or have any responsibility or liability for any of this content or for any claims, damages or losses resulting from their use and/or appearance on or in conjunction with this Site or elsewhere.

8.3 Users remain individually responsible for their ideas, messages and opinions. However, Random Ramble still has the right to modify/delete and refuse to post any player generated content that violates these Terms and Conditions. We can also remove the privileges of the users that violate these Terms and Conditions.

9. Payments

9.1 Payments of any sort made to Urban-RPG towards running of the game and/or maintenance costs and/or any other premium features made through an on-line vendor are non-refundable.

9.2 Random Ramble does not guarantee or make any representations regarding the use or the results of paying through sites such as Paypal with regard to their correctness, accuracy, and reliability or otherwise. The entire risk is carried by you ie. not Random Ramble. You assume the complete cost of any necessary servicing, repair or correction.

9.3 Any player making a fraudulent payment will have their account jailed until the investigation has been completed. Apart from the legal action that the payment provider may take against you, a $25 USD processing fee will need to be paid to unlock your account if you have been found to have made a fraudulent payment.

10. Other

10.1 Players agree not to, through software or other methods, interfere with the site operation and page content. This includes using automated scripts to carry out actions in your game and loading pages for no reason in the game just to slow down the server. Players agree to follow all administrator requests and instructions; failure to do so may result in jailing of your account or account removal.

10.2 Other sections of the game may have it's own rules; such as the chat rooms. These rules are an addition to the Terms of Service and not a replacement. Violation of these rules is considered to be a violation of the Terms of Service and will be dealt with accordingly. Failure to know or understand said rules is not an excuse for rule violation under any circumstances.

10.3 This site and all the materials contained on it are distributed and transferred on an "AS AVALIABLE" and "AS IS" basis, without warranties of any kind, either implied or expressed. To the fullest extent permissible under the applicable law, Random Ramble disclaims all warranties, implied or express, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Random Ramble does not guarantee that the functions or materials contained within this site will be uninterrupted and error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site and the servers that make it available are free of viruses and other harmful components.

10.4 Random Ramble does not guarantee or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials within this site with regard to their correctness, accuracy, reliability or otherwise. The entire risk is carried by you (ie. not Random Ramble). You assume the complete cost of any necessary servicing, repair or correction.

10.5 To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, Random Ramble, it's affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, agents, employees, licensor's, representatives and third part providers to this site will not be liable for damages of any kind including, without limitation, incidental, indirect, special, consequential, compensatory or any similar damages, that may result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials contained on this site, whether the material is supplied by Random Ramble or any third party.

10.6 Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event shall Random Ramble have any liability to you for any claims, damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort or otherwise).

USE OF THE SITE CONSTITUTES AGREEMENT WITH THE CURRENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
